Kings really hooked me up with a great revolver at an unbeatable price. Model 10's are super common, but at this price - not so much! The nickel is shockingly beautiful and mirror-like after a little wiping with an old t-shirt rag. Even the backstrap, which looked like it peeled/corroded, shined up like almost new. A few honest nicks and dents, but nothing significant, and of course the Hogue grip included is an awesome bonus - I had an old set of service grips to use, but the Hogue grip might go on soon. Mine dates to around 1976-early 1977 and the build quality is top notch. Smooth action, not abused, gorgeous nickel. Thank you Kings!
I would rate my specimen to be in very good condition with just a few light scratches that you can only see when you hold it at the right angle to the light. The bore is clean and bright and the gun was well lubricated and cared for. If the wife would let me I would buy a few more of these. Great deal!
Since the wood grips were not included, I had a strong feeling the pistol was PRIMO and the grips were kept for another pistol at the owning agency. I prefer the Hogue grips myself.
The crane is tight, lockup tight, cylinder play is very much in spec, virtually no wear from firing, nickel finish very good given holster wear. Some CLP and shoots nice.
Remember folks no ammonia based cleaners on Nickel plating.
YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.
